Project Description

The Fort William Family Health Team is Thunder Bay's largest and oldest medical clinic serving about 300 patients a day. Located on Golf Links Road, close to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and Medical Buildings, the clinic is home to 17 doctors, a nurse practitioner, mental health services and a dietitian.

The new 18,000 square foot space is wide and bright. The interior has been designed to resemble the Northwestern Ontario landscape, complete with large windows that look out onto trees.

Tom Jones Corporation was the General Contractor on this project and working closely with the Architects, Consultants, Client and several Sub-contractors we were able to create a building that is accessible from parking to ramps to wide hallways and doors. The patient examination rooms are large enough for family visits and all areas of the clinic are easily accessible.
