Project Description

Tom Jones Corporation completed an addition to St Ignatius High School for the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.

The existing facility was an older school and the renovation allowed for the creation of new science labs, an exercise room and the cafetorium, an open space that can be utilized as a cafeteria and can also act as an auditorium.  The renovation features a nice double storey siting area that links the old with the new.

With a tight timeline construction began with students in class.  Communication and diligence was required to ensure a safe and secure construction site with more than 25 sub-trades working on the project. A tight site layout prohibited the use of some heavy equipment and careful coordination of cranes was paramount.
